The federal government is set to finalize economic targets and development budget recommendations for the current and upcoming fiscal year through a series of high-level meetings starting next week, official sources told ProPakistani.
The National Accounts Committee (NAC) is expected to convene on May 20 to approve revised economic targets for the outgoing fiscal year and set new ones for 2025-26. This will be followed by the Annual Planning Coordination Committee (APCC) meeting on May 26, which will review and recommend the annual economic plan and development program for the next fiscal year.

The committee will also evaluate the economic growth rate target, along with sector-specific goals for agriculture, industry, and services. Inflation targets for the next fiscal year will be determined during this process as well.
Recommendations from the APCC will be submitted to the National Economic Council (NEC), which is likely to meet on May 29 or 30 for final approval.
