Chinese Scientists Reverse Diabetes Using Advanced Stem Cell Therapy

For the first time, researchers in China report that both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes have been reversed in human patients using a highly advanced stem cell treatment. This announcement is being described as one of the most important medical breakthroughs in diabetes research.

Diabetes develops when the body loses the ability to produce or properly use insulin, leading to dangerous blood sugar levels and long-term damage to the heart, kidneys, nerves, eyes, and brain. In this groundbreaking study, scientists used stem cells that were reprogrammed to become insulin-producing cells. These cells were then transplanted into patients, where they successfully restored natural insulin function.
