Realme Neo 8 Price and Variants Leak Ahead of Official Launch

Realme is set to officially launch the Realme Neo 8 in China tomorrow, but key details about the smartphone have already surfaced online including price. Ahead of the launch, the company has confirmed important camera specifications through official promotional posters, while a separate leak has revealed the expected pricing and storage variants. These early details provide a clear picture of how the Realme Neo 8 will be positioned in the premium smartphone segment.

According to a leaked screenshot circulating on Chinese social media, the pricing information appears to have originated from Oppo’s internal customer support system. The leak lists four different configurations for the Realme Neo 8. The base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage will cost 2,599 Yuan, which roughly converts to $375. The 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant may cost around 3,099 Yuan, or $457. Higher-end options include a 16GB RAM and 512GB storage version priced at 3,399 Yuan ($490), while the top-tier 16GB RAM and 1TB storage model could retail for 3,899 Yuan, or about $560.

Although the leaked image does not mention color options, reports suggest that the Realme Neo 8 may be available in Origin White, Mecha Grey, and Cyber Purple finishes. These color choices will appeal to users who prefer both clean and bold design styles.

On the camera front, Realme has officially confirmed some major highlights. The Neo 8 will feature a Sony IMX896 sensor as its primary camera, which will deliver improved image quality and better low-light performance. In addition to this, the phone will include a periscope telephoto camera that supports 3.5x optical zoom, 7x lossless zoom, and up to 120x digital zoom. This makes the Neo 8 one of the few phones in its segment to offer advanced zoom capabilities. Some reports also indicate the presence of a Sony LYT-600 sensor as part of the camera setup.

Based on TENAA certification listings, the rear camera system will also include an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. For selfies and video calls, the device will come with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

Beyond photography, the Realme Neo 8 will feature a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a smooth 165Hz refresh rate. The phone will come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, paired with a large 8,000mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. It is likely to run Realme UI 7 based on Android 16.

Additional features may include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, metal frame, glass back, infrared blaster, IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance, and a dedicated PC handheld gaming mode. Some reports also suggest that the Realme Neo 8 could launch globally under the name Realme GT 8. However, realme has not revealed any information regarding the international release.
