KARACHI, October 31, 2026 – The landmark 1st Pakistan Halal Forum 2026 concluded successfully today at the Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi, bringing together national and international stakeholders to shape the future of Pakistan’s Halal economy under the theme “The Intelligent Halal Economy.”
Organized by Halal Development Council (HDC), co-organized by Pakistan Halal Authority (PHA) and International Halal Certification (IHC), with DinarStandard as Knowledge Partner and endorsed by the World Halal Council (WHC), the forum marked Pakistan’s first dedicated platform for the $3 trillion global Halal industry.
The day-long forum featured keynote addresses, panel discussions, B2B networking, certification insights and growth strategies covering Halal Food, Pharma, Cosmetics, Modest Fashion, Halal Tourism, Logistics, Islamic Finance, and Technology-driven traceability.
Speaking on the occasion, organizers said Pakistan, despite being the world’s second-largest Muslim population, holds less than 1% share in the global Halal economy. The Forum aims to transform this challenge into a $40-50 billion export opportunity by shifting from raw material exports to value-added, certified products, supporting SMEs and establishing One National Halal Mark, One Standard.
Mr. Asad Sajjad, Chairman, Halal Development Council, said, “This forum is not just an event, it is the beginning of positioning Pakistan as a Global Halal Hub. Our focus is on public-private partnership, innovation and export facilitation to connect Pakistani businesses with buyers in GCC, Malaysia, Indonesia and beyond.”
Mufti Zeeshan Abdulaziz, CEO International Halal Certification, highlighted that Halal is now a global benchmark for quality, hygiene and safety, driven by technologies like QR-code traceability, Blockchain verification and AI-based audit. He said IHC’s globally accepted certification will help Pakistani products gain international market access.
Representatives from DinarStandard shared global insights on the Halal lifestyle economy, noting that the world is increasingly looking at Pakistan for authentic Halal sourcing.
The forum concluded with a commitment to make Pakistan Halal Forum an annual platform, with dedicated Halal Economic Zones, SME support programs and investment facilitation for Halal industries.
The event was attended by industry leaders, exporters, regulators, scholars, SMEs and international delegates.
